When I was little, I begged and begged my mom to let me play hockey. She eventually let me play and it is a decision that I am beyond grateful for. Trying to imagine a life without the memories I've made and the people I have grown to know playing hockey is one I can't imagine. One of the most special gifts hockey brings is the people that come with it. I don’t think any other sport comes with such a unique atmosphere. For me, I can have the worst day and be able to come to hockey and have all those worries swept away. That is not the case for many other teams. It definitely helps that we see each other for many hours a week, for many months. More specifically to our team, we have such a special bond that no other can compare. Everyone is comfortable, can be themselves, and go to anyone if something is needed. I love every single one of them. The memories we made and are still making together are ones that will never be forgotten and ones that I can’t wait to experience.

When asked the question of why I play hockey, many answers come to my mind. An obvious first is because of the people I get to be surrounded with each day. Another reason is that every time you step on the ice you can just let everything around you slip away. Hockey has helped me become more confident in myself, the things I do, and the things I dream to do. Hockey also has taught me many life lessons. These life lessons are ones I will be able to take with me for the rest of my life. Ones that I could not learn hitting the books at school. Although there are many, the last reason of why I play hockey that I'm going to say is because I LOVE it. Hockey brings me such joy everyday. It is something I can be passionate about and talk about for hours. Honestly not sure how the people around me don't go nuts. :)

We have some very passionate coaches. They give us so much time out of their lives. Something everyone of us are very grateful. Everyone of them have their unique qualities. Coach Mal brings her knowledge and her silent savageness. Coach Josh brings his intenseness but is also one of the most caring people you will ever meet. Always someone you could talk to. Tip: don’t forget you mouthguard, EVER! ;) Coach P brings his knowledge on goalies and his wonderful stories from his other schools. Coach Johnson brings her passion for the game and a great amount of support for all of us. She cares so much and it's awesome. (VISUALIZE)

Our teams goal is to focus on the little things and see how things go..SIKE! Our goal is to make it to STATE! We are going to focus on the process and the little things to get there. It's going to a very fun and exciting season, can't wait to see where we go!

Peace, love, laugh, live, and play hockey!
